We are beginning to experience not only record growth but consistently high growth the last three years. 6.8 percent, the greatest which we have experienced, roughly 480 new students to our school corporation enrolled this fall over a year ago. The students who are currently in this intermediate school will in the fall of 2007 now be going to this site, which is a new intermediate school that we’re building in the north central part of our school corporation. But we also have tremendous growth at the elementary level, and to alleviate that growth, we plan to open this building in the fall of 2007 as well, which is a new elementary school which is being built on the far southwest corner of our school district. But the fact of the matter is, is that it really creates an excitement in our school corporation. And one of the really great things about our community actually is that the education in schools remains the central focus of Noblesville. I mean, we’re a one-township school corporation, we have a tremendous amount of tradition, wonderful community support. If Noblesville, of Noblesville Township as currently (plotted) will be built out, its population could be 85 to 90,000 people. And it would be logical to assume that if we don’t want our school to be much larger than many people are comfortable with, that we would need two. We believe as we enhance the environment of our community, that is going to attract people to come here. We currently this year, as of tomorrow or the rest of today, will be about 8,200 plus. So we’re going to have substantial growth. So this process of construction is gonna be a continuous one for us, probably well into, certainly into the next decade and maybe even beyond depending upon how fast the township fills out. So we really believe that Noblesville Schools is an integral part of economic development in Noblesville townships and the City of Noblesville. We also believe that we’re certainly a partner in the kind of services that need to be offered to get people to come in Noblesville if you will and to get businesses and other things that will provide a much more vibrant environment and more vibrant community for us to live in.
